About Us

We’re a mother and daughter team who have discovered that many designer treasures lie in second hand and consignment stores.  You won’t believe what we’ve found so far.  We’ll keep you posted daily (yes, daily, it’s become a passion for both of us) on our latest finds, including lots of photos  because seeing is believing! We will give you tips on successful second hand shopping and how to authenticate your finds so you’re not getting ripped off!

Being successful is a combination of being in the right place at the right time, and knowing what you’re looking for and where to find it!

Some people sing well, some people can paint. Some people are good with numbers. We can spot a diamond on a heap of coal. Here we will share our little treasures and perhaps inspire others to treasure hunt too!

    Hi –

I am a follower of your blog. Love reading about your finds. I will be visiting Vancouver this weekend and was wondering if there were some thrift stores you suggest I visit. Seems like you two know all the best ones! Thanks!

  6. Hello,

Nice website, congrats. Luv all the treasures you’ve hunted. I also like thrifting for vintage designer handbags, sunglasses and scarves but most of the stuff I find here in Thailand and back home in the Philippines are not in very good condition like yours and cost me about $5-20. I have posted photos on my facebook albums.

Keep it up. I will bookmark your blog so I can read about all your future finds.

  7. You said that you would post every day. Where are your newer posts! I love your blog I want more!

    Great site.

You guys find the most incredible stuff! I’ve found some good things around here, but nothing quite as good as you. I always feel kind of nervous about fakes though, I check the items out thoroughly but I don’t know all of the labels/etc by heart 😦
Do you have any tips for that? Right now what I look for is clear labels, quality fabrics, quality stitching/construction and labels that aren’t obviously wrong. Is this good enough?

    • Whatcha Find? says:

That’s a great start. Internet research can help, but remember that many sites are just regular people and the information isn’t coming from the designer themselves. Trust us, after a while you will be able to look and touch and know right away real or fake 🙂

  11. Meeta says:

where in Vancouver do you find these things? esp aritzia ones? please do share !! 🙂

  12. mrsjhorne says:

do you find that you purchase things that may not be your size or style? if so, do you resell the items? i saw so many things that i would totally buy! i bet all of your followers feel the same 😀

  13. Stephanie says:

You two have found some amazing things! Which second hand stores would you recommend going to?

  14. Kay says:

Hi, I’m loving all these great finds. I’m originally from a small suburb in Vancouver too but I haven’t been as blessed to find thrifty designer products. I won’t ask to divulge your secrets but would you say you have better luck when you travel further and visit various places rather than one central place you frequent?

  15. Sj says:

You guys find so many amazing deals! What is your ebay store, because I would sure love to buy some of your finds! Good job!
